1. Origami Fish (Easy – Ages 5+)
Materials Needed:
Square sheet of paper (any color you like)
Marker or pen (for the face & scales)
Steps:
1. Fold in Half Fold your paper diagonally to make a triangle.
2. Fold Again Fold the triangle in half again (small triangle).
3. Make the Tail Take one side of the small triangle’s top layer and fold it outward halfway – that’s your tail fin!
4. Shape the Body Fold the tip of the triangle slightly downward – hello, fish mouth
5. Add Details Draw a cute eye and some scales. (Optional: Use colorful patterned paper for an extra fun look)
2. Origami Crocodile (Intermediate – Ages 7+)
Materials Needed:
Rectangular sheet of paper (A4 or letter size)
Marker or small paper eyes
Steps:
1. Fold in Half Fold the paper lengthwise and open it again.
2. Form the Nose Fold the top two corners toward the center crease to make a pointed nose.
3. Fold Body in Half Fold along the center crease so the nose is at one end.
4. Shape the Tail Fold up the back end to create a pointed tail
5. Make Legs Fold small flaps outward on both sides to make legs (two on each side).
6. Open the Mouth Gently open the nose fold to create an open crocodile mouth.
7. Add Eyes Draw or stick small paper eyes. (Optional: Use green paper and add paper teeth for a fierce look)
